Have you ever just wished you could only find the words to speak what's on your mind and in your heart, you would just let that person know how much they hurt you?
Maybe you are walking around with this pain or heaviness in your heart and you can't seem to rid your mind, body, and emotions from someone or a situation that you thought had been resolved years ago.
Take a moment and go into your mind's eye with me. Imagine you have this big beautiful heart filled with so much healthy love, but it also consumed with anger, sadness, and pain that takes away from the beauty of what lives within you.
Your life desire is to give love and receive love but you just can't seem to stay on course because this pain keeps showing up from the past.
As your friend and mentor, I want to give you permission to free your body of these old wounds and past pains. Holding onto this energy is not serving you or the people you want to fully and presently want to give all of your love and attention towards.
We are not looking to right the wrong but what if we surrender the situation to let be what is and find forgiveness so we can free ourselves from the pain that lives within us.
How are we going to free our body from this pain that lives within?
When it comes to learning to forgive others we can learn a lot from ancient indigenous people such as those who inhabited Hawai'i before the coming of westerners. On an intuitive awareness, they understood that to harbor resentment against others hurts the person who refuses to forgive.
“ I’m Sorry” - You acknowledge whatever you’ve attracted into your life and take full responsibility for it.
“ Please forgive me” - You ask for forgiveness for anything you have knowingly or unknowingly done to others or to yourself.
“Thank you” - You express thanks for experiences that allowed you the opportunity to learn and grow.
“I love you you” - Give love to yourself and all that is. Love is the highest healing vibration that exists.
Hawaiian process of forgiveness, allows us to cut the connection (essentially clearing out preconceptions in how we view others) to create new connections and rejuvenated relationships.
In Huna, the ancient Hawaiian discipline of energy and healing, the ho‘oponopono process is essential if we want to be pono (right and congruent with ourselves).
Making total sense when we think about how can anyone feel good about themselves and their own life when they walk around frustrated and angry over how they been wronged?
The Hawaiian word ho‘oponopono comes from ho‘o ("to make") and pono ("right"). The repetition of the word pono means "doubly right" or being right with both self and others. The ho‘oponopono is a process by which we can forgive others to whom we are connected.
Practicing Ho‘oponopono allows you to cut the negative connection in a positive nurturing and loving way. Healing the connection and making it brand new freeing the space for you to become right with others, so you can become right with yourself.
It can be that simple, think of the person that is holding space in your soul and do some forgiveness work around this person.
If it feels best to write a forgiveness letter to this person even if you don't send it. However you choose to process this healing work, it's your choice but notice how it feels in your body and maybe how your current relationships begin to grow.
Give it a try and don't forget to share with me how it worked for you.
